DIANA HAJJI
MULTIDISCIPLINARY ARTIST
Diana Hajji is a multidisciplinary performing artist who interacts with the mediums of photography, painting and video. Diana Hajji describes herself as a Greek woman in infrared confusion. Her picturesque canvases coincide with photography and meet the viewer with the possibility of new interpretation, transformation and mutation. Her work transgresses through this new interpretation the depiction of reality. As a performer, her situational practices deal with gestures of evolutionary progress through the appropriation of traditional cultures and religious intellectual movements as well as echoes of propaganda imperatives.

Diana Hajji is a multidisciplinary artist known to use and combine various media to formulate her statements. With the ability to combine poetry, performance, video, photography and painting, she was at the same time able to mix her multimedia and art pursuits (Ecole Nationale de la Photographie, Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia) with her medical studies (Russian University of Friendship of People, medicine faculty, pharmacy).
