ABOUT
aRooO, short for a Room of our Own, is an international platform providing art expertise to artists, collectors and institutions to bring collaborative projects to life.
The art platform was founded in 2021.
aRooO was born from the need of a space that allows young, especially underrepresented professionals from the art world to realize their professional visions without the limitation of a glass ceiling.
The platform also allows curatorial research and explorations while providing private and public institutions as well as individuals with art consulting.
In her essay „A Room of One's Own“, Virginia Woolf came to the conclusion that women in order to participate in literature (and any other art for that matter) need a room of their own - meaning a space to be creative and the financial means to be able to focus. aRooO wants to create such a room to connect with others and to foster projects in contemporary art.
Since its creation, aRooO represents artists with a strong conceptual or interdisciplinary approach in fields such as visual and cinematographic arts, painting, photography, performance and more.
